Tell me a Story Stitchery Box

We're delighted to be at the beginning of the Tell Me a Story Stitchery Box adventure!

This first month, your items are being delivered in a box because we have plans for your box to become a potential project! More about that later but, for now, be sure to store it in a safe place once you remove the contents. Following months will be delivered in our typical poly-mailer bags.

All the basics for your Slow Stitching adventure are contained in this first month's shipment. Much of it, you'll be using again and again.

Our first instructional event is listed in our Facebook group. Mary will be at Needleworks in Winter Park instructing in person and we will be streaming so those outside of our local area have full access to the instruction as well! It will also be recorded and remain in the group for later viewing. The videos will be streamed into the event in the group, so that is where you will go to find them.

Your insert each month will contain a prompt to serve as a springboard for your stitching. Use it as you wish, or you may elect to take your own path. The beauty of Slow Stitching is that it is what you make it; nothing is prescribed and it need not be pre-planned!

This month, the prompt is: A view out my window; imagined or real.

In your box this month, you will find:

  • A rolled up large piece of muslin with freezer paper adhered to the back. Please save this for later use.
  • Cut muslin "pages"
  • Small scissors
  • Bohin Murano glasshead pins
  • Two packs of chenille needles: one in size #18 and one in size #22
  • Hand embroidery booklet/reference guide
  • Charm fabric bundle
  • Variety of threads plus a thread card with others
  • Bag with assorted fabric, laces and trims

We're so happy you're along with us for this journey and we can't wait to see what you create!
