Join us for the Perfect Summer Sweater Make-A-Long! Whether you knit or crochet, whether you prefer fingering or DK weight, we have the yarn that's just right for a summer sweater.
The MAL will begin on June 11 (NKIP day), and be hosted in our Yarny Ewes Facebook group!  This preorder will be available until May 21st to ensure that you receive your yarn in time.
Choose your pattern and colorway, grab the necessary amount of skeins, and we'll get them dyed up for you.
Please note you must consult the pattern to determine the yardage so you can calculate the number of hanks needed. We are happy to help! Simply email us for help calculating!
Suggested KNIT Patterns:
Breezeway (Fingering)
Suggested CROCHET patterns:
Silver Sage Sweater (fingering)
*If you have another pattern that you'd like to make, you're still welcome to join our Make-A-Long. These are simply suggestions.
**Pictures of colorways may be on either Tolkien or Tolkien DK - both having the same fiber content, the look should be consistent on either base. Due to the cotton/wool mixture of this fiber blend, all the colorways are more muted than when dyed on other 100% wool blends that we carry.
Tolkien: 50% SW Merino, 50% Cotton, 4 ply Sock/Fingering, 436 yards, 100 grams, 27-32 sts / 4 in, NS: US 1-3
Tolkien DK:  50% SW Merino, 50% Cotton, 4 ply/DK, 231 yards, 100 grams, 21-24 sts / 4 in, NS: US 5-7
  • Hand dyed using professional grade acid dyes
  • For best results, hand wash cold and lay flat to dry.
  • As hand-dyed yarn is subject to variation, even with the same dye lot, if using more than one hank in a project, alternate hanks every few rows to compensate for variations in tone and pattern

**If you want a colorway not available here, ask! It may be doable.
