Today's Feature is a fun and whimsical pairing of our super soft laceweight Brontë, the gloriously colorful handpainted Freia Handpaints Shawl Ball, and a coordinated stitch marker!

Perfect for the Sonnensengel shawl pattern by Ulrike Altrogge, this combination is an easy pattern with oodles of character!

And, as always your feature may ... or may not include an extra goodie!

Brontë

This luscious, super soft laceweight yarn is 65% Baby Suri Alpaca and 35% Silk. At 50 grams of pure decadent squish, you get 437 yards.

Freia Fine Handpaints Shawl Ball

With over 400 yards you will find enough yarn to create a medium sized shawl that is light but warm. Use two and you will have a large warm shawl or wrap to see you through the chilliest of days. The gradients transition smoothly keeping you engaged and enthralled as you work on your project!

Freia’s custom-spun single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina. The yarn is hand-dyed at their studio in North Adams with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment. The yarn is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt. Though a single you will find it strong as their dyeing process very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking. When attaching one ball to the next, wet-splicing will give you a smooth, invisible and reliable join.
