Travel to Scotland with the Yarny Ewes (Deposit)

Join us on a twelve-day yarny trip to Scotland in 2024! We're looking forward to taking in the sights of Scotland while enjoying yarny fun along the way!

Highlights include visiting Ginger Twist Studios in Edinburgh for an all-day workshop; a stop in Sanquhar to learn about Sanquhar knitting; a fun-filled "Farm Day" at Kitchen Ewes and Coos to learn about sheep raising, visit their brood of sheep and Highland Coos, enjoy demonstrations and a Cream Tea; traveling to Iona (the birthplace of Celtic Christianity) to tour the Abbey and visit Iona Craft Shop to learn about their wool and visit a croft on the island; visiting Tobermory, the Isle of Mull's capital and arguably most beautiful port and making our way to Ardalanish, the Isle of Mull Weavers to enjoy learning about their dye garden and process and to view their antique weaving equipment which is still in use today! Along the way, we'll have plenty of free time to enjoy stitching and exploring the area on our own in addition to group experiences like a Loch Lomond Cruise, visiting The Great Tapestry of Scotland and a tour of the Oban Distillery!

We will tour on our own private coach, fitted with Wi-fi, perfectly suited to see the countryside in comfort.

Please note that flights are not included in the tour cost. 

Included in the cost is: transport by luxury motor coach, one group airport transfer to and from airport, hotel accommodation for 10 nights, 10 full breakfasts, one lunch, one Cream Tea, one afternoon tea, one dinner; hotel porterage for one bag per person, service charges, and government taxes, flight bags, ticket wallets, baggage tags and identifying straps, and pre-arranged activities at fiber related destinations.

Total Cost: $4985 pp/based on double occupancy (single supplement of $1299 due if private room.)

Payment Dates:

• $250 deposit due immediately
• $2367.50 due by 11/1/2023
• $2367.50 due by 2/1/2024
• $415 travel insurance, if so desired, within 14 days of booking

Things to Know

• We will be visiting some small towns and rural areas of Scotland. A fair amount of walking can be expected. If available, transportation such as local busses, cabs, Über or the like may be used for individual sightseeing, meals, etc...at the discretion and expense of travelers.
• Please do not book airline flights until the trip has been confirmed.
• The itinerary is subject to change based upon availability and factors beyond our control. Any substantial changes will be communicated in advance.
